Whew, finally we can heave a sigh of relief after
worrying too much about what could possibly be amiss with our illustrious
mister pageant - Manhunt International. We got word directly from Mr. Alex Liu, President
of Manhunt International Organization of Singapore that Manhunt International
pageant is going to push through this year. They are just in the process of
inking some final agreements before they make the formal announcement. We hate
to jump the gun on you guys, but we just can’t contain our excitement so we are
spilling the beans.
Apparently, sponsoring groups failed to measure up
to the standards set by the organization for the holding of the pageant. The organization
therefore chose to pass the year over than to put in jeopardy the quality of
the pageant and the well-being and experience of the delegates. Manhunt believes
it is still possible to maintain high standards after it has grown, as it was
when it was first starting out. It is currently working closely with concerned parties
to keep such considerations going to achieve first-rate pageant production and
widespread participation.
If you heard the rumored bickering of some
international pageant organizations with some national directors over recurring
pageant postponements and unfulfilled commitments, saw the just-to-get-by
pageants with miniscule number of contestants – these are prejudicial to the
burgeoning mister pageant industry. Certainly we pageant lovers wouldn’t want to
live with sloppy running, mediocre pageant shows that claim world class
status.
So come to think of it mister pageant believers,
let organizers know we care about quality and let sponsors know that we are
following and watching our favorite mister pageants and that we want them to
remain as good if not, better than we have witnessed and enjoyed them in the
past. It’s time to encourage pageant advancement and solid sponsor support.
It is not always easy to see our favorite mister
pageants slip by season after season but they can go a long way towards
maintaining high standards in pageantry if we can learn from them and use them
as an opportunity to build and enhance wherever we can. Hope this revelation and rebirth is enough to
smooth the ruffled feathers of mister pageant fanatics everywhere.
